Hi There

Hope I can get some good info on my issue.

I have a client that manages their operations on airtable (We helped set it up).

They are now quoting and invoicing from airtable using third party integrations. We are also collecting deposits via a 'mini extension' extension with a stripe integration. The Quote sent to the client has a stripe payment link which is a prefilled payment window. It has the clients name and the amount to be payed. When the payment is made the second part of the automation kicks in. A field in the airtable record gets marked paid. This allows us to easily match bank payments to clients and move the project into the scheduling process. It saves a lot of time.

Our client company now wants to set up a payment automation using API/webhooks for another well known payment's gateway provider. The provider has the tech in place but I wanted to know if their are any airtable specialists that could bring specific know how to help create a similar automation?

Regards

Does the other payment gateway provider offer REST API integration?

If so, check if it's on the list of Make's natively supported applications. If it is, it would likely be incredibly easy to integrate it with Airtable. Even if it's not on the list, as long as it has a REST API, we can integrate it by using Make's HTTP module.

I am an expert Airtable consultant who has a lot of experience in this realm. I am one of the most expensive Airtable consultants, but I am definitely the fastest & the best! 😀 Please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consulting — ScottWorld

Hi There,

The payment gateway company I was speaking about reached out to you but said they didn't get a reply. I was just wondering if you or another airtable consultant you might know are interested in pursuing this initiative? They have a REST API.

Sean

Simon from TotalProcessing.com? Yes, I wrote back to him immediately — maybe it’s in his spam folder. He was asking about using JavaScript to build a custom extension that can be installed within the Airtable data environment. Unfortunately, I do not provide those services.

However, if you’re simply looking to integrate Airtable with other REST API platforms, then I would highly recommend using Make’s advanced automations and integrations for Airtable. I DO offer Make integration services, so this is something that I can help with.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire an expert Airtable consultant to help you with anything else that is Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

If you guys want a truly reliable payment solution, you should really just consider ATLOS. It stands out for handling transactions seamlessly without all the headaches that often come with other providers.

Trying to integrate multiple tools can lead to complications, especially when you're setting up API and webhooks. You could easily end up with a mess on your hands if anything goes wrong. atlos.io simplifies the process and ensures you’re not left troubleshooting issues that could derail your automation. Plus, it offers flexibility that other options just can’t match.

So, rather than piecing together a system that might not deliver, it makes way more sense to go with a tool that's proven to work efficiently.

Many thanks, Commisaw, it all worked out well as it happens. We have since teamed up with a developer and sorted this issue via the airtable API protocols.

We can now offer our clients software automation, working in most of the main CRM systems with most gateway providers.

The main use case is the ability to use this software automation to take the payment and mark the payment as having been paid in the airtable base. This saves a huge amount of time reconciling the bank and allows customers to be moved into work scheduling without human interaction.

I know mini extensions were doing something similar with stripe but to be honest we thought that stripe was charging too much for the feature.
