Hey there, I'm trying to gain access to the Download Attachment URL (without using the API) so I can upload images from the Attachment of a record to a social media platform. I've tried using a workflow of AirTable --> Zapier --> Social Media Platform, but I can't find a way to get the image in my AirTable's attachment field to the social media platform. Let me know if you know how to help!

PS -- The reason I don't want to use the API is that I saw AirTable's recent notice that they are disabling API access at the end of this year.

Got it.  Try:
1. Creating a new text field to hold the URL
2. Creating a new checkbox field that'll trigger an automation
3. Create an automation that'll trigger when the checkbox is ticked, and it'll have an "Update record" action where it'll place the URL into the field

Hm, so you want to get access to the download attachment URL and use it manually, is that right?

Airtable has never said that they are disabling their API.

You can easily download attachments from Airtable and send them to social media platforms (or other apps) by using Make's Airtable automations.

You mentioned Zapier in your message above, but I would STRONGLY recommend against using Zapier.

Make is INFINITELY more powerful & customizable than Zapier, yet it is SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER than Zapier.

I wrote an entire post here comparing Make vs. Zapier.

I’ve also assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread:
https://air.tableforums.com/t/make-com-basic-navigation-tips/277

For example, to instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable, check out this thread on instantly triggering a Make automation from Airtable using a webhook:

And Make even created an entire Make Training Academy here.

i also give live demonstrations of how to use Make in many of my Airtable podcast appearances here:
