Hi,

I have a base with a "Workorders" table, to that workorder I would like to be able to add parts from my "Spare parts" table by scanning the barcode of that spare part (instead of writing in the search box). Each spare part has a barcode field with their unique barcode.

Is this possible? At the moment I can't see any other way to link to a record then to manually type and find the right part.

As there are so many parts in play with similar names, being able to find them by their barcode would be great help.

Anyone know if this is even possible?

Hi Simon!

Yes, I did. Very simple solution actually. I have a table called "Workorders" to add spare parts from the Spare Parts table, I have simply in the spare parts table, made the name of the item a concatenate formula that pulls in the barcode. So, when I click to add a linked record in my workorder table I just scan the barcode in the search field and the item appears, and click to add.
