Maybe I’m a tad slower that the average Airtable user but I can’t find an easy way to add a new record without using the mouse when I’ve switched to a new table.
The Shift-Enter only seems to work when I’ve moused into the table. I really don’t like to shift from the keyboard for such a simple operation.
OK - I found a silly workaround. Do a Ctrl-A (Select All) and then Shift-Enter.
How about using the N key by itself?
Oh, and the Ctrl-J key seems to be intercepted by Chrome to display the downloaded files. Oh, well.

I can’t get the Shift-Enter to work at all. (Using current versions of Win10 - in either Firefox or Chrome). Tried selecting a specific record since the pop-up text directions say “insert a new row anywhere” to be absolutely certain the browser ‘understood’ I was working in the page, but nothing, zero, zip.
