Base-Schema relationship directionality? (Tracing Precedents?)

Hi fellow Airtablers,

I have a large base with about 20+ tables and probably >15 fields in each, many of which are formula/lookup/rollup, so I frequently reference the base-schema block to see what fields are related before I make a change to the underlying structure.

I’m struggling with the, seemingly random, directionality of the ‘dancing ants’/dashed line relationships. It doesn’t appear to be related to which direction the value is being pulled. Is there a way to have the block show the ‘precedents’ the way you can do in Excel?

For example, I’d like to be able to tell if the field I’m hovering over in Table A is pulling in values from fields in Table B - or if the relationship is the opposite - if the field in Table A is actually being pulled into Table B. This would be especially useful for Formula fields that are based on other Formula fields or intra-table calculated/lookup fields.

Is this feature already available and I’m missing it? Or is this something Airtable would have to probably build?

Thanks y’all!
