Can you customize the look of a Linked Record Field?

Hi,

Basically, I want the data in a Linked Record Field to look like the data in a Multiple Select Field; I want the “pills” instead of the list. Screenshot included.

In general, is there a way to control the data that’s displayed in a Link Record Field?

When viewing a list of records in the default grid mode, you’ll only see the primary field of a linked record in kind of a grey pill/button shape. The expanded record view that you show is the only place you’ll see the added detail for linked records. To my knowledge, there’s no way to force Airtable to minimize the linked record display to “pill” mode in that expanded view. With lots of links, I can see the benefit of having that, though. Might be a good candidate for a product request.
