Hi, I currently use the CSV Import App to import an excel and use the “merge with existing records” to update values with current matches. However, I’d like it to recognize when certain matches are no longer in the excel that I’m uploading and thus delete rows in Airtable. So for example,

If day 1, I import
image

Then the next day, I import
image

I want it to recognize that I’ve deleted “Walmart” and thus delete it from the existing Airtable. Any ideas as to how to do this?

Welcome to the Airtable community!

Importing new data is very different from deleting data existing data.

At best this is a two step process.

One option is to simply delete all the records in the table before doing the import.

Another option is to do the import and then determine the old records based on created time and last modified time, and delete the old records.

Another option is to not merge the records at all but keep a history of all records and use a filtered view to work with only the most recent records.
