Default color option?

I have a series of single selects, and I want the “default” blank to be red.
Or will I need to have an automation to put a red warning
right now the filtering in the calendar is set by the {Videos Status}, however I want the default to RED to stand out but I don’t have a way to set default either in the original field with the single select nor the filter.
Any ideas?
