How to permanently remove duplicates from Dedupe Extention

Hi!

When I use the the dedupe extension I can select to exclude a record from the set, but when I run dedupe again another time it’s still there. Is there a way to permanently set a record as not a duplicate so that when I run dedupe I’m only seeing what is new?
