Hi all,

I’m using Airtable as a project management system––one table for projects, one table for tasks, one table for templates (to be copied and pasted).

Most of our projects are an event on a single date or an event that lasts a couple of days. But some projects are events that occur, say, every Tuesday evening for 4 weeks. Is there a way to accurately represent this data without creating four date fields?

At the moment these projects show as spanning every day for four weeks on our calendar view.

We have a pro account.

Thanks so much,
Nickie

I think you need an extra Table, called Activities, Dates or whatever, and relate it with Events of course.

So I would make the dates a linked field?

If I were you, I would probably make the extra table Elias mentioned containing fields for:

Relationship to the project/event/etc
Date of occurrence
Other assorted details

This way, you can create multiple event days for the same project as child elements. You can duplicate the records and change the date to create projects that span multiple days.

As a bonus, if there is something specific to one event date, you can add that detail on the relevant record.
