Page Designer - PDF Export Issues

I am currently using the page designer app and I am trying to export to PDF using print > save as PDF because I cannot find an actual export button. Unfortunately, when I open the PDF, it’s an absolute mess of formatting and cryptic symbols.
Any advice on how to export to PDF correctly?
