Is it possible to lock some tables under the same base which not everyone can view

In big projects there’s usually a lot of intermediary tables and fields, and that’s making unnecessary clutter for editor-level users.
It’d great also to have viewing permissions for tables and fields in addition to the existing editing and deleting permissions.
