Process data from linked records

Hello!

I’m using Airtable to process information from music festivals for an investigation proyect I’m working on right now.

I’ve got several music festivals, with all the artists playing linked. Each artists has a lot of fields (agency that represents them, musical genre, gender, etc), and I want to process that information.

I’d like to add a column to the music festivals that shows how many female bands are playing at each festivals based on their gender, which is specified in each artist through a single-select fields. Is that possible? How should I do it?

I’m comfortable processing info from the same table using formulas, but I don’t know how to do it when I want to process info from linked items.

I’m guessing you’d add a field for Band Gender Identity - Male Only, Female Only, Multiple, Non-Binary. Once you have the data from each band, there are a number of ways to display the data.

For example, there are summary blocks and roll up fields. Admittedly, I haven’t used either yet.
