I have several tables in my base.
For each table, I import, on a monthly basis, an Excel spreadsheet.
Every time, every single time, I have to re-map all the necessary fields (15-20 for each sheet), even though the format/layout of the spreadsheet hasn't changed.
I want to know how to avoid having to re-map every time I import an Excel spreadsheet. I want Airtable to remember the mapping it used for that table the last time I imported an Excel spreadsheet.
I am NOT looking to import CSV data. If I wanted to do that, I would use the CSV Import app. I don't. I want to import Excel sheets.
Can this be done or not?

You can try preprocessing your file with Tablesmith. Create a pipeline, add your airtable columns as input and create an output, keep the stages empty is ok. When running the pipeline, do the column match and Tablesmith will remember your mapping.
