Hi, I’m looking for a way to collaborate with a partner on a specific view on my table - but I don’t want to give them access to the whole table/other views and my entire base. I know that there is a “share view” button but that doesn’t let my partner put their own notes in.

Am I missing something?

The only way to do this in Airtable is by sharing an interface with your partner, and upon sharing the interface, unchecking the box that gives them access to the rest of your base.

Otherwise, you would need to turn to external paid portal tools such as MiniExtensions.com, GlideApps.com, Softr.io, Noloco.io, Pory.io, and StackerHQ.com.

Are you referring to using the Interface designer? I thought that was only used for creating dashboard or data visualizations.

That’s one of the many things you can do with interfaces.

Airtable might be a good solution for you. As an airtable relational database, it allows you to create different views of your data and share these views with specific permissions. Using Airtable's permissions settings, you can make these shared views editable, allowing collaborators to modify data within the constraints you've set. This functionality showcases the flexibility of the airtable relational database, which is designed to facilitate sharing and collaboration on data in a controlled and secure manner.
