Sorting- not sorting as expected

It appears as if some records in field have a space before, so it doesn’t sort correctly. How do if fix it?

Hi Jeff. What kind of field? If it’s a text field, create a new formula field right beside it. Then make the formula TRIM({field from which to remove whitespace}). Then copy paste the formula column back into the original field column. Then delete the formula field (you don’t need it anymore). Make sense?

If it’s another kind of field, you might need a different intervention.
