Hello-

I have created a field with single select options. Is it possible to create a link such that when an option is selected it will link to a new field with new sub categories? Example: Field= Clothing with  Single Select Options: Skirt, pants, suit., etc.  When "Skirt" is selected, I'd like a new subcategory further defining skirt to become available either to populate the same field or a new field ex:  mini, knee, maxi, long. Thank you.

Yep, very sad. Tragic, actually.

Thanks for the shoutout, @Databaser! 😎🙌

And thanks for finding that old thread as well! I went back & updated that old post with the newest information as of today. It gives people a little more hope, because at least there are now 2 external apps that provide this functionality.

But it's a real shame that Airtable doesn't offer this, even though ALL other database apps on the market offer this feature, and even basic spreadsheet apps like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets have had this since the very beginning.

p.s. If someone REALLY needs a database system that has that feature natively built into it, I would highly recommend turning to FileMaker. I used to be a FileMaker Developer for almost 30 years before becoming an Airtable consultant. Feel free to reach out to me through my website if you'd like me to turn you onto some excellent FileMaker developers, or if you just need some advanced Airtable consulting.

Here's an old reaction from @ScottWorld . It's still (very unfortunately) not a built-in feature.
