For the card layout in the grid view, you can’t control which fields display or how much width they take up. I am working on an interface design where I have a long text field which gets cut off after a few words, one field that isn’t necessary to display, and a ton of white space which could be used to display more text.
It would be very useful to be able to control the width of the fields and which fields are shown (like with kanban cards). This affects sharing a grid view with the card layout turned on, how linked records display in the full record view, and in the interface view.
