It would be helpful if I am able to hide tables when they are not necessary for everyday work.

It would be great if there was an option to allow for CSV imports within interfaces. 2 potential use cases are: The ability to upload CSV's in a list view that adds new records to the list The ability to upload CSV's in a Record Detail View that would automatically add child records to a list/linked record field I'm sure there are plenty more scenarios but these are the 2 I'm currently facing.

What is the proposed idea/solution? A few simple reaction options for record comments, e.g, thumbs up, thumbs down, laugh, smiling face How does is solve the user problems? No simple way to show that you have seen and are actioning a comment unless you leave another comment, which sometimes feels like more than is needed. Who is the target audience? Anyone who uses Airtable for communicating on projects - between teams or with clients!

What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow users to react to a comment with an emoji like 👍 or ✔️ How does is solve the user problems? Eliminates the need for confirmatory messages or extra automations. It is a courtesy from one user to another their comment was seen, especially after @ mentions. Comment sections filled with too much "Thanks!" and "Got it!" How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? All orgs using commenting regularly ...

I would love to see basic text formatting options for the long text field. At a minimum: bold and italic formatting would be a huge help.
I would like to use long text fields to store short bios for writers. But without the ability to have italic formatting, I can’t properly format the titles of their books.
The markdown formatting tools available in this Airtable community message editor would be perfect.

Being able to hide/show fields in the form view based on the values of fields higher up in the form could be extremely valuable.
For instance, if using Airtable to keep track of leads, one might have a Single Select field with the following options:
Relationship
No Relationship
Met at a conference
Contacted through website
If “Met at a conference” is selected, it would be valuable to collect information about that conference in a conference field, but it wouldn’t make sense to capture that info for any of the other options in the relationship field.

This would go a long way in letting many of us move completely away from Trello, Asana, Etc. into Airtable. I know there are workarounds (link to another table’s list containing the tasks), but that quickly becomes overly cumbersome. Would love to have simple checklist as a field option!

I would love to have a feature that would search a given table by a field or set of fields to find and surface duplicate rows. It would then be great to be able to take a pre-defined action on duplicated rows such as delete, or merge. Dealing with dupes is always a pain with large data sets or importing new data into a set where some records may already exist. A way to deal with dupes in a somewhat automated way would be really helpful.

UPDATE 2: last modified time is now available to everyone! You can learn more about it here. UPDATE: The last modified time beta is now closed as we get ready for a general release. Thanks to all of the testers who made this beta a success. ORIGINAL POST: Hi folks! We’re very excited to announce that we’re beta testing a last modified time field type, as well as a LAST_MODIFIED_TIME formula function. Many thanks to the users who’ve posted specific, detailed feedback about their needs and use cases with regard to this feature, like @Arlo_Haskell, @Deborah_Buck, and @Jordan_Friedman. We read everything that is posted here in the forums and your feedback is incredibly valuable for us when we’re planning the product roadmap and developing new features! If you’re a Pro plan user and you’re interested in testing out the last modified time field type and/or the LAST_MODIFIED_TIME formula function—and giving us your feedback—please sign up using this form. (Note: this is a different form from our standard beta signup form, and it requires you to fill out a couple of additional questions.) As you are all aware, this is a highly anticipated feature, and there are many users who would like to get beta access. However, for technical reasons and to ensure an optimal user experience, rollout for this beta will be conducted in small, limited batches. (In practical terms, that means that it might take a while for you to get access.)

I’m really excited about the recently released calendar views. Thank you for including this in AirTable. It really helps to visualize certain data that’s associated with date and time.
That said, I’m curious if you plan on supporting date ranges? My use case is that I track events that are happening in the world, specifically film festivals. I have a table that contains a list of 1200 film festivals and their start and end dates. I’d love to be able to see the ability to create a view that shows the range of dates that the festivals are occurring. Right now I can only choose either the start or end date, which is helpful, but doesn’t show me overlapping dates between the different events.
