What is the proposed idea/solution? Add a 'Download All' button to attachment fields, which would enable users to download all of the attachments that have been uploaded to a given field in a record. This button could be located next to the current 'Attach File' button. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, you have to download each attachment individually by hovering over the attachment so the download icon appears, click the download icon and then repeat this process for each attachment. This is very time consuming and allows room for error (e.g. accidentally missing an attachment when trying to download all). Who is the target audience? Everyone can benefit from this feature, as it is a fairly useful, basic functionality request that would enhance efficiency. As social media managers, we would use this feature daily and our clients would also benefit from this.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Add PDF as supported file type for attachment annotations. How does is solve the user problems? This would allow more robust proofing & approval workflows than what Airtable currently allows. PDF is a standard format for this workflow and not being able to annotate drives users to seek external solutions or move to alternate platforms. How was this validated? This is a standard need, and the attachment annotations help page confirms that PDF is not a supported file type. Who is the target audience? Marketing & Creative teams, Sales teams, Legal teams/contract review, any other teams that need to be able to annotate PDFs vs. just images or videos.

What is the proposed idea/solution? A built in extension that provides the ability to bulk download attachments. Filtering which records include and also renaming files based on any column of the table. How does is solve the user problems? Sometimes we need to export the contents of an attachment column. Doing this one by one it’s not efficient at all. Downloading data in csv it’s not enough. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? ...

It would be great if there was an option to allow for CSV imports within interfaces. 2 potential use cases are: The ability to upload CSV's in a list view that adds new records to the list The ability to upload CSV's in a Record Detail View that would automatically add child records to a list/linked record field I'm sure there are plenty more scenarios but these are the 2 I'm currently facing.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Enable integration with Sharepoint spaces and OneDrive folders/documents How does is solve the user problems? Some of us don't use Google docs/sheets/form/etc. but Microsoft Sharepoint and OneDrive docs and it's very hard to extract value from Airtable without those essential integration with our everyday workflows. How was this validated? I am project manager and program lead who designs Airtable for wider org to adopt. Who is the target audience? All Sharepoint or MS Office users (all of Walmart employees to start with!)

In the comments in any airtable record it would be good to have attachment option so users can post pics, videos, files, leave an audio message, video message, etc.

I'd really like to see the ability to version control files within Airtable rather than having to either upload additional documents each time a change is made and ending up with potentially dozens of files, or getting stuck deleting the old file and adding the newest update each time. Alternatively, there could be an option within an attached file of any type to upload a newer version, and then instead of showing two files in the attachment field it would show a single file with a history of past versions that could be accessed and referred back to. Old versions would still take up storage space, but wouldn't clutter attachment fields, and comments could be unified across versions to allow ongoing conversation as changes are made.

I plan to use Airtable to record order information from my website. These records will be used to build the product that the customer ordered. These products are custom. I would like to be able to have the page designer automatically to output a PDF to the attachment field. I would also email this PDF as part of the customer order process workflow for our company. Thanks,

What is the proposed idea/solution? As a user I want to be able to quickly share images, often screenshots, in the comments on a specific record. How does is solve the user problems? The user today needs to visit an external website to see the image I provide in an image link. Who is the target audience? Everyone who is collaborating in airtable

I've been using Airtable as an invoice tracker, creator, and sender so that I can use the payment processor that I want to use. I'm wanting page designer to have a download button that I can just click once and have my documents download as a pdf immediately instead of using the "save to pdf" work around. It would also be great if you can customize the file name using fields to help with organization. This would be good for weekly, monthly, and yearly financial and performance reports in various scenarios. Also, it would be epic if the page designer could be automated to download directly into an attachment field, or emailed as an attachment. Then, as a bonus, we should be able to do a batch download of attachments/files into a zip folder. This should be easy for Airtable's development team to implement since so many platforms have this functionality. This isn't new technology that I am asking for.
