'Download All' Button for Attachment Field

What is the proposed idea/solution?

Add a 'Download All' button to attachment fields, which would enable users to download all of the attachments that have been uploaded to a given field in a record. This button could be located next to the current 'Attach File' button.

How does is solve the user problems?

Currently, you have to download each attachment individually by hovering over the attachment so the download icon appears, click the download icon and then repeat this process for each attachment. This is very time consuming and allows room for error (e.g. accidentally missing an attachment when trying to download all).

Who is the target audience?

Everyone can benefit from this feature, as it is a fairly useful, basic functionality request that would enhance efficiency. As social media managers, we would use this feature daily and our clients would also benefit from this.

Yes, this would be a fantastic addition!

In the meantime, until Airtable provides this functionality to us, I currently workaround this issue by giving my users a “Download All” button (or single-select field dropdown) they can click on, which then triggers a Make automation to download all the attachments in the field to a cloud drive, which can optionally be synced to the user’s local desktop.
