What is the proposed idea/solution? Somewhere within the Automations tab, it should show you how many automations you've created and how many are remaining out of your 50. Otherwise, users are forced to manually count how many automations they've created and then subtract, which seems completely unnecessary.

It'd be really use to be able to generate notifications for the user on the mobile app (or desktop). Seems like it'd be simple to do. We'd like this, as we have really complicated automations running, that are not 100% infallible to human input error. Currently I manage this with a "notification" single select, whereby if an input error has happened and needs to be fixed, it's tagged with the relevant issue. Input views are grouped by the notification select, so the user can at least see next time they open the app there was an error with their data entry. But this is messy, can create multi-day delays in getting information rectified, and also takes up 1 of the 3 "grouping" slots (and I already find 3 not quite enough). There'd be lots of reasons to notifcations would be useful to others. Obviously email and slack are options for generating notifications, but we're a small team (3) who work in the field together, so we don't use slack, and we're not checking our emails. Everyone prefers their email notifications to be left off, and to deal with their emails when back in the office.

What is the proposed idea/solution? The automations list should be searchable by automation name. When there are lots of automations, finding the right one is annoying, even when organising them in sections. How does is solve the user problems? Faster access, better experience. How was this validated? I struggle daily with it, and hope others find it useful, too. Who is the target audience? All Airtable devs.

This seems obvious, and I guess there is a back-end reason it's not already the case. But there are several limitations in airtable that make automation troubleshooting more difficult than it needs to be. It would be infinitely more helpful if airtable's failed automation notifications were instant. There's always a delay of at least a few minutes, but often much longer. The delay, combined with the lack of suggestion 2, makes it quite hard to piece together why an automation has failed (usually we are entering data, going back to another job, and seeing an automation failed notification in the emails later) - so it's not that easy to trace the steps back to find out what action triggered the failure. Activity log for whole base. Rather than needing to check trash logs, individual record logs, etc, it would be really helpful to have all of this info collated in one space. Ideally this log would also included failed automation runs. When there are complicated automations that fire other automations, it's sometimes really hard to piece together what actions are creating failures. I often really struggle to recreate failures.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Include the ability to "store" or "save" scripts and processes for reuse in multiple automations. How does it solve the user problems? Instead of having to manage multiple automations using the same script/process, they can be modified/updated in a single place and update all automations that use them once changes are published. Pipedream does a nice job of this. It would save me a lot of time, and reduce the potential for errors. How was this validated? Personal experience managing complex automations Who is the target audience? Airtable power users and consultants

Context: our Airtable account hits the automation run limit every month. I believe we've upgraded to the plan with the maximum allowable amount of automation runs. FWIW: I would pay more for more automation runs, and would pay a lot for unlimited automation runs. Situation: There is a limit/cap on automations that can be run, per month There are a number of different automations based on a variety of triggers, across tables and bases Idea would address these two issues: Cannot currently maintain and/or optimize for a functional account, that will remain under the monthly automation limit, without access to the centralized automation run log Cannot currently troubleshoot or trace an issue when an automation is running, but it's not clear what is triggering it/in which table Thanks in advance for considering.

To whom it may concern, An enhancement suggestion from Kalypso: Add ability to export/import Automation configurations Expected Benefits: Reduce manual effort to duplicate automations Example when this would be used as follows: Template enhancement is requested to add an automation Multiple, existing bases created from that template need to be updated to add that automation I do understand referenced tables, fields, etc. from the bases would need to match for the import to be successful There is a related submission on this topic but I don't think adding the capability was specifically requested. Please consider adding this capability. Regards, Jason Knighten

What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be very helpful if we could simultaneously meet multiple conditions in an automation. How does is solve the user problems? We often send out Emails to users via automations. The content depends on a set of parameters. At the moment we need to build endless combinations of conditions in order to work with the existing hierarchy of how the conditions are executed. As soon as the first condition is met, all other possibilities are no longer looked at by the automation. Looking at all conditions and executing all conditions that are met would totally liberate the way we need to use automations.

What is the proposed idea/solution? New Comment automation trigger with conditional logic Add actions to list, create, delete and update records On a JavaScript record object, add methods to list, create, delete and update comments ... How does is solve the user problems? Automation triggered by new comments could be used at the user's discretion. One example is to send a message/notification to a third-party service like Microsoft Teams. The ability to create comments from automations/scripting could be used at the user's discretion. One example is to leave a comment (as an automations user) if a record didn't meet certain conditions. The current method requires: Generate an access token with data.recordComments:read and/or data.recordComments:write scope Add a Script action to an automation Craft a fetch request for each comment operation and exposing the access token Would be much simpler to create an instance of a record object and use a method like: record.createComment()
record.deleteComment()
record.updateComment()
record.listComments() ... Who is the target audience? All users ...
