Agree that is a viable workaround and I have used it in the past. The ask is to be able to import to individual fields. It may be unlikely to be accepted/developed by Airtable but a guy can dream. 樂
I requested similar as I have a use case for a RACI that has very long column names. Also suggested to allow wrap text for field headers which would auto adjust column header row height.
