It would be nice to optionally enable Clean URLs for Airtable pages. Currently, Airtable urls are basically a random string of characters that give no information on what is at the url. So if I shared an Airtable link with someone, instead of seeing something like https://airtable.com/appdfvokijweroiwdroikj/tbldfvolkfgvlmkvblk/viweiociokjwefn and have no information on what they are about to click on, it would be something like https://mycompany.airtable.com/my-awesome-base/my-great-table/grid-view

What is the proposed idea/solution? A global search bar for Interfaces. This would more than likely be in the form of an interface page but I could see it as a component for a blank interface page. This would pull up results pertaining to keywords with direct links to the records for the available interface pages. How does is solve the user problems? This would allow quick and easy access to various records in one action.

Please consider adding on/off buttons (checkboxes) to the filters to allow users to toggle individual filters on/off. Exhausted from creating/deleting/creating/deleting/creating/deleting/creating/deleting/creating filters 🙂

The UI search bar currently requires an exact match for records to appear in search results, which can be limiting, especially when searching for specific details like the last few digits of a serial number or microchip number. The Base table’s search bar offers a more advanced matching feature, allowing users to find records based on partial entries. To improve usability and efficiency, I suggest updating the UI search bar to offer similar functionality as the Base table search. This would eliminate the need to rely on the 'Filter' option for partial searches and better support workflows that depend on quickly finding specific data. Your urgent attention to this matter is appreciated.

What is the proposed idea/solution? What's existing is that when clicking the + button on a "Link to another record" column, it shows a "search box" and we can find an existing record, but you can only search for the linked record's value. It would be more efficient to be able to find an existing record using its other parameters (maybe the four columns that are shown). In the example image below, if I type "Notes C" or "1335", it should show Item 3. What's currently happening is I should strictly type "3" or "Item 3" to get to that linked record. It's especially inconvenient if it's a lengthy SKU or something like "A Very Long Title Like This and That Vol. 3" when I could use that linked record's other columns to find it. How does it solve user problems? It allows the user to quickly find a linked record through other parameters and makes workflow more efficient. How was this validated? The first four columns on the find field are the linked table's first four columns too, so if the user wants to "customize" the first four columns, they can trigger "Limit record selection to a view" when making that linked record column to use that specific view's first four columns. Who is the target audience? Users who use linked records a lot with multiple useful columns.

I've been organizing my lessons on airtable. Multiple picture attachments and comments for explanation. I just realized that there's no way to search for a particular comment. I'm lost here after a couple of months into the project. Idea: Search should include comments Critical to collaboration & finding the right attachment.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ... A new feature that transposes the Rows and Columns of a View. How does is solve the user problems? ... It is useful to transpose the Rows and Columns of a Table for for viewing and / or calculations. In Airtable it is more efficient to create Records for time rather than Fields (e.g. each Row is a unit of Time like a Week, Month, Quarter, Year, etc. and not the column). The ability to see each unit of Time as a column moving from left to right is standard practice. How was this validated? ...This is a core feature to all spreadsheet applications. Who is the target audience? ...All Users

What is the proposed idea/solution? Right now when you search for a linked record, only exact results are returned. This means if I have a record titled "Texas State Fair - 2024 - Food", I cannot quickly grab that record by searching "Texas 2024" or "2024 food" because it's not exactly titled that way. I would have to type it all out, including hyphens, and if I had a lot of "Texas State Fair - 2024 - ###" records I'm going to have to look through them all every single time. How does is solve the user problems? Allowing a more relaxed search, semi-fuzzy of sorts, allows faster searching using the details a user remembers. It's very common to have the primary field of a table be a CONCAT formula to gather multiple pieces of data from a record (especially since you can only search for a linked record using that primary field and nothing else). By allowing less precise searches you can make it easier to find results, and there's nothing stopping a user from still being as exact as possible to further narrow down the results if they want. By loosing the tight restrictions, both types of search can still take place, but in the current design you can only use exact. How was this validated? Heavy use of linked records across multiple bases, and no ability to quickly search through thousands of records effectively to find the one I want unless I know its exact name in the primary field. Who is the target audience? Any Airtable user who has a base with linked records, especially if the base is large.

There greatly needs to be a filter in an interfaces Revision History. It should show as a pill next to the word Revision History, just like the filter pill shows on the new Record List interface. Or it could be next to the bell icon for changing the watching comments option. This way if you are viewing revision history you can narrow in on a specific field(s) to see only those revisions.

What is the proposed idea/solution? There is not currently an option to add a generic search bar to a custom interface page. The only option is to have different filter options How does is solve the user problems? It would give users the abilty to search multiple different fields without having to make sure they are typing matching text in the correct filter option How was this validated? User experience. The photo attatched shows the custom view that is being used, the reason I do not change it to the prefigured Kanaban view is because there is another view below it that I like having on the same page as the Kanaban view. Who is the target audience? Airtable users
