What is the proposed idea/solution? The interface search bar will return 0 results if the beginning of the string is not entered How does is solve the user problems? We use airtable to track our jobs.  We have several jobs that start with the same 4 digits (2714XXX).  When we search for a part we typically just enter the last 3 or 4 digits of the part number instead of the whole part number.  For example a part number 27142264 we would just enter 2264 in the search bar.   How was this validated? In our base if you enter 2264 in the search bar it returns 0 results, but if you enter 27142264 it returns 2 results. Who is the target audience? Anyone that uses the search bar and cannot remember the start of the string they are searching for or anyone that uses part numbers similar to our system. ... View more

Hunting for Fields is my #1 time waster in Airtable. I spend lots of time scrolling horizontally through column headings, or vertically through the Fields Pane. I have 5x more fields than I do Views in most Tables and I interact with them (i.e. need to find them) more often too. The search block accomplishes a way to find items in my tables, and I like it. I believe a logical extension to this function would be to allow one to update many records (mass) as a 'find and replace" use case, in addition to searching the table. When I selecting linked records in a field, the search function only allows me to search based on the primary field. However, my primary field names are not informative (AB001, e.g.). What I really need is to search by one of the other fields of the linked record. This should be possible. When there are so many linked records to search, you have to be able to do better searches. Google Tables allows this and so does Ninox, so I know it’s possible. Do we have a formal feature request queue for Airtable to send directly to the developers? ... View more
