What is the proposed idea/solution? Offer metadata for automations via the REST API. Helpful values to return would be: [Base ID], [Automation ID], [Folder (If Applicable)], [On or Off] It would also be great to provide an option to obtain the Automation History with query parameters to enable precise tracking and error catching within an organization's workflow. I think that the Make API documentation offers a few great blueprint for each of these two endpoints: [List Scenarios] for Automations [List Scenario Logs] or [Get Execution Log] for Automation History How does is solve the user problems? Provides insights into the current status of automations, and facilitates smoother resolution of automation errors. How was this validated? Many other platforms offer this, and the Airtable Metadata API already exists to provide similar information for other aspects of Airtable. Who is the target audience? Heavy users of the Airtable API.

If this exists and I'm not aware of it, apologies in advance. When looping through data from a view in an automation, I execute a script inside the "Repeat for each..." sometimes I get some bad data fed in and it causes the whole automation to fail. I'm frequently adjusting the script to account for the data, and making steps to improve the data coming in, however it would be nice if I had the option for it to continue on ("Ignore error") and let me know after the fact so the other 99% of the data that was good can continue to process and I can resolve the data issue later. Alternatively, if there was the ability to execute a different step if there is an error, that would be even more grand. Thanks.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Parse linked records and dropdowns as lists, or change trigger to use "is exactly" (object) instead of "contains" (string) How does it solve the user problems? The current workaround is to create a formula field that is the string copy of the object field, but this does not allow complex conditionals (such as NONE OF or EXACTLY). How was this validated? Solved: Condition failing when using contains and the fiel... - Airtable Community Who is the target audience? Airtable Community

It'd be really use to be able to generate notifications for the user on the mobile app (or desktop). Seems like it'd be simple to do. We'd like this, as we have really complicated automations running, that are not 100% infallible to human input error. Currently I manage this with a "notification" single select, whereby if an input error has happened and needs to be fixed, it's tagged with the relevant issue. Input views are grouped by the notification select, so the user can at least see next time they open the app there was an error with their data entry. But this is messy, can create multi-day delays in getting information rectified, and also takes up 1 of the 3 "grouping" slots (and I already find 3 not quite enough). There'd be lots of reasons to notifcations would be useful to others. Obviously email and slack are options for generating notifications, but we're a small team (3) who work in the field together, so we don't use slack, and we're not checking our emails. Everyone prefers their email notifications to be left off, and to deal with their emails when back in the office.

I think response time for automation is very important to improve. It would be also great to get an automatic response message as a Toast Component in Airtable Interface UI. (external server (external fetch request) can be busy, Interface User have to know the Status of the action). It would also important to have not to repeat same code as you see from Screenshot. (Solution: to make Api request new section)

What is the proposed idea/solution? Somewhere within the Automations tab, it should show you how many automations you've created and how many are remaining out of your 50. Otherwise, users are forced to manually count how many automations they've created and then subtract, which seems completely unnecessary.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Writing Airtable scripts using JavaScript is very tedious. It would be great if you could have a way to prompt an AI to start building an Airtable script for you -- piece by piece -- similar to GitHub Co-Pilot. How does is solve the user problems? This accelerates the time to value in Airtable scripts and can make them easier to maintain for users. How was this validated? Simply poll your Airtable customer base to see how many of them write scripts and how many of them want to speed that process up. Who is the target audience? Airtable script writers

This seems obvious, and I guess there is a back-end reason it's not already the case. But there are several limitations in airtable that make automation troubleshooting more difficult than it needs to be. It would be infinitely more helpful if airtable's failed automation notifications were instant. There's always a delay of at least a few minutes, but often much longer. The delay, combined with the lack of suggestion 2, makes it quite hard to piece together why an automation has failed (usually we are entering data, going back to another job, and seeing an automation failed notification in the emails later) - so it's not that easy to trace the steps back to find out what action triggered the failure. Activity log for whole base. Rather than needing to check trash logs, individual record logs, etc, it would be really helpful to have all of this info collated in one space. Ideally this log would also included failed automation runs. When there are complicated automations that fire other automations, it's sometimes really hard to piece together what actions are creating failures. I often really struggle to recreate failures.

What is the proposed idea/solution? There are two actions: Create and Update. Add a third option: Delete. How does is solve the user problems? When my client enters a follow-up date and the event_id doesn't exist, an outlook calendar event is created. Changing the date, updates the calendar event. Now the kicker, surely clearing the date field should delete the calendar event. It's natural to remove calendar entries. I know Make.com has the module but that means having to open an account, building the scenario, etc, etc. How was this validated? It's not there 🙂 Who is the target audience? Anyone using the Outlook Calendar actions.

When an automation uses a repeated group, it can run for an extended period of time. Currently, there is no option to forcefully stop the automation midway, leaving users waiting for it to finish. Additionally, while the automation history displays the start time, it does not show the end time, making it difficult to determine the total runtime. It would be highly beneficial to provide the end time and total elapsed time in the automation history to enhance usability and monitoring capabilities.
