Group by date rather than datetime

I’d love the ability to view my records grouped by date rather than date+time.

It’s rare to have a large number of records with the same exact date+time, but common to have a large number of records with the same date and different timers — at least for me. Seeing those records grouped by date and sorted (within each group) by time would be extraordinarily useful.

Let’s say you have a date field called “Date Due”, and this field has “Include a time field” checked.
Create a formula field that consists of {Date Due}. In Formatting, uncheck “Include a time field”.
Group by this new field and sort by Date Due.

Yeah, I’ve done that. It’s not great. Plus, it prevents me from being able to add any new records in that view.

You can’t add records to a base that is sorted by a formula column
