Hello Airtable Community Moderators,
@MaddieJ@leah_ackerman @selenawang , @Evan_Purcell @Rosalind_Lutsky ,

Recently, we've seen an increase in spam posts across various categories. These posts often disguise themselves as responses to genuine questions or issues, making it challenging for users seeking real help to find the needed information.

I want to acknowledge the fantastic work the moderators do to remove these posts promptly. However, this situation can sometimes overshadow genuine queries, causing delays in responses and creating unnecessary doubts among users.

To help combat this issue, I suggest implementing additional verification measures for new community members. For instance, requiring users to have an Airtable account or exploring other verification methods could help in filtering out spam accounts and maintaining the quality of discussions.

Let's all stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help maintain the integrity of our community. Your cooperation ensures that everyone, whether they're facing a genuine issue or seeking assistance, gets the support they deserve promptly.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

Best,
Dilip

Totally understand @dilipborad, thanks so much for calling that out.

And thanks for letting us know you'd be interested in assisting further! Stay tuned on this piece, but in the meantime, using the option on posts to "Report Inappropriate Content" can be really helpful to ping us if we don't have our eyes on the post yet.

We also recognize that ideally, you wouldn't need to be on the look out for spam, but it's cool to see so many of our community members flagging this content. It's clear that there's a true community here, and we all want to keep this a positive, Airtable-focused place!

Hey @dilipborad thanks for reaching out about this and sharing your experience.

Rest assured we're continuously addressing this issue as we want all community members to have a great experience here. You're spot on in that we want all members seeking Airtable knowledge to get the prompt support they need.

I'm also so grateful to the folks who report spam content to the team. Your extra set of eyes are so helpful and we really appreciate it!

Thanks for all you do, and always happy to hear constructive suggestions like this about the community experience.

Hi @MaddieJ

Thank you for your prompt and thoughtful response. I appreciate the hard work and dedication the team puts into maintaining the quality of the community.

I’d like to highlight a specific concern: when viewing the community home page, it appears that a significant portion of the posts listed are spam. This prevalence can make it challenging for users to navigate and find genuine content amidst the spam.

I understand that tackling spam is an ongoing challenge, and I’m grateful for the efforts being made. If there’s any way the community can assist further or if additional measures are being considered to address this issue, I’d be happy to support those initiatives.

Thanks again for your attention to this matter and for fostering a constructive community environment.

Best regards,
Dilip.
