I recorded this video of a system I built using Airtable, Lob, and Zapier for automating & managing physical mail campaigns. I hope it is useful to anyone who is interested in using Airtable to manage this type of business workflow!

Hey Bill - nice job. thanks for showing. Im curious why you didn’t use the Lob app in Zapier for your post to the Lob API (not the webhook post from Lob to Zapier which I see that Lob doesn’t have a trigger for, but it looks like it has actions for posting to Lob directly.)

Hi Dan - Good question!

You could definitely build the Lob integration using the Zapier “native” Lob features. I have personally found it easier work with Lob and Zapier using the Lob API and the Zapier webhook post action. Testing out Lob HTML templates (including initial testing & ongoing updates) with merge variables and so on are just easier–at least from my personal experience.
