Setting default values on fields has been a long-time request from Airtable users.

What are default values in fields?

When you create new records (or update existing ones), you probably have multiple fields that need to have the same data every time. Default values allow you to add information to your field only 1 time. Then, each time a new record is created, that field automatically fills in with the data. You don’t have to go in and complete every single field that needs information. It’s done for you!
