I've been designing my own tabletop role-playing game for some time and have been using Airtable as the backbone for all the information in it.
One particular element I've been enjoying is the ability to embed an Airtable into a flipbook. It makes for a very effective delivery of information in a modern way: Arq RPG Core Rules
