Hello! We’ve seen a lot of great ideas come from the community forum. It’s a place where everyone helps each other learn and can share the great stuff they’ve made with Airtable. To keep the good ideas coming, we want to challenge you to create something that’ll benefit the community. As a bonus, the most interesting, creative, and useful creations will receive some fun prizes :slightly_smiling_face:

First up, we want to see how you can use Airtable to help manage your finances. Of course, a great budget framework is versatile and can work in a professional context as well. We know the community wants to see templates in the personal finance category, but don’t feel you need to limit your idea to a single use-case.

You could create a budgeting tool, an expense tracker, or even an anti-budget. Be creative and use your skills to come up with a unique base that others can use and benefit from! We’ve even put together a starter template and a brief guide to get the ball rolling. You don’t have to be an Airtable expert to participate. If you can make a base and have a good idea, we want to see what you can do. If you have questions, we’ll be around to help as much as possible.

Here are the rules and everything else you need to know:

  • Create an original base in the personal finance category and submit it using this form by 9:00 PM PT on January 7, 2020.
  • If you need help with your idea, just reply to this post! We’ll jump in and help you out whenever we can.
  • Once submissions close, we’ll review everything and choose the winners within a week. If you win, we’ll highlight your work and you’ll get a fun prize.

For extra credit : We’d love to see bases that use linked records, formulas, and/or the web clipper block. Your base will get bonus points for creative use of any of these features.

We’re looking forward to seeing what you create! And, if you don’t feel ready to participate or don’t have the time to make a great idea, share it here by responding to this post! It’s a great opportunity to get someone interested in your idea and create it for this challenge.

Are the winners announced? I’d like to see and use some of those bases.

I’d love to hear as well …
