I'd like to import a figure from an external website, and update it when it changes

Hi all,

Firstly, apologies if this has been asked / answered before, I had a search through and couldn't find it.

I'd like to import a number from an external website and automatically update it when it changes.  Also would I need their permission for this?

The website is transfermarkt.com it gives an estimated market value for individual football / soccer players.  I have a database of players, and I'd like the estimated value for each one in a column.

Is this possible?

Do they have an API that you can tap into? If so, you can either use DataFetcher or Make's HTTP module to automatically bring in the new numbers into Airtable.

Otherwise, can you get a CSV file from them with the new data? If so, you can use Make's CSV modules to automatically bring the new data into Airtable. I give step-by-step instructions on how to do this on this Airtable podcast episode.

+1 for Data Fetcher. Assuming transfermarkt.com has an API, Data Fetcher is great for pulling in data to Airtable like this.
