Request Airtable data from within a Slack channel

Hi!

I am looking for a way to connect airtable and slack allow users in my Slack to use forward slash commands to request data from from specific fields in a base in Airtable. The goal is to create a seamless way for teams to retrieve specific information directly in Slack from Airtable. I am the main admin in our Slack and Airtable so permissions arent an issue.

Example:

Use simple commands like /Airtable to retrieve the
information.

Information I am trying to request would include

Region
Language
Quality
etc

Being able to filter the content would be great too.

I have tried Airtable automation but havent been able to figure it out.

The easiest & quickest & best way of implementing this would be to use DataFetch.io, because it's already designed from the ground up to do exactly what you're looking for. You just install it and you're ready to go!

Otherwise, you would need to dive into writing your own custom programming code by creating your own custom slash command in Slack, which could then call a Make custom webhook, which would then subsequently trigger your Airtable automations via Make.
