I'm trying to create an automation that sets a User field to the "Created by" user as an initial state when a new record is created. The idea is that I want users to be able to reassign it later, but not leave it blank when a record is created.
However, it appears the only way I can reference the Created By user is if the field is present in the table, which I would rather not have. Clearly Airtable knows the user who is creating the record, is there any way to reference that value without putting the Created By field in the table? 🙏
