Linking Tables and Maintaining Field Name?

When I create a link from one base to another, I rename the Field to something appropriate. In this case, I have the base Building and the base Character. When I create a Linked field named Owner of Building in Building, I just get a field in Character named Building.

Is there a way to maintain the unique naming I have between the two bases, WITHOUT manually having to change it on both bases?

Hi @Rachael_Compton,

I believe you mean Table not Bases (since there is no linking between the bases).

The new Field that is being created is named after the table not after the Field, this is so you know which table you are linking to.

Because my word choice was appparently unclear, let me ask again:
