Hi all

I currently use Xero for my accounting (invoicing, billing, credits etc).

Airtable is my order management system.

I want to be able to create the accounting pipeline (invoices etc) in Airtable and have this upload directly into Xero.

If I make an update to any fields in Airtable, I want this to update in Xero where relevant (invoices, bills, credits, contacts).

Does anyone have experience with building a Xero equivalent that they could roll out for me? Would want it to link with my bank and handle tax returns etc.

Otherwise any links to relevant videos/posts?

Xero works well but I want to minimise double data entry and then no need to pay Xero fees.

Most people are using Make’s Xero integrations to communicate between Airtable and Xero.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread.

For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire an expert Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

Haven't used it personally, so can't vouch for it, but Unito has a two-way sync with Xero.

Integration wise, Zapier, Make and N8N all have connections, so integrating to Xero is definitely doable.  Videos/posts will depend on which service you go with, so I'd recommend just googling for your specific solution.  Zapier will be pricey but easy to set up, and Make will be cheap but difficult to set up; haven't tried N8N myself so can't say

Building out a Xero equivalent is probably going to be a fairly large amount of work and it'll probably be cheaper for you to pay for Xero, really.  Depends on what you're doing on Xero, of course.  May want to post on the job board too!

I would strongly recommend against using Zapier. Make is INFINITELY more powerful and customizable than Zapier, yet it is SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER than Zapier. I wrote an entire post here comparing Make vs. Zapier.

Furthermore, Make has much deeper native support for Xero than Zapier. As you can see on Make’s Xero integrations page, Make offers 96 native modules for Xero. Zapier only offers 42 native modules.

Hey @FPX

I have already done 2-way sync for a client using Make. It is powerful and adjustable. You can also use Latenode, which is similar and cheaper.

Happy to help you build a video call working together. Please feel free to reach out to me.
