When adding a file to an attachment field via the API (using Zapier) the file being added replaces any current files already in that field rather than adding it in.

I’ve had the same issue, API file updates just replace the existing stuff. My only workaround so far is to create multiple attachment fields to deal with this, but it’s a drag.

Anyone figured out an alternative method to this overwriting problem? Would like all attachment to populate in the same field and not have to create multiple fields.

Hi,
The work around with Zapier is this :
Before the step to update your Airtable record (2), create a step to find the data of this record (1).
Then, in the update step, use the “Your new attachement”, “(1) Attachement URL”,
Cheers
