Hi Friends!
Welcome to the new Airtable Community. My name is Jordan I lead our community efforts here at Airtable. I am beyond thrilled to be here and wanted to introduce myself to those I haven't had the pleasure to meet yet, but first I wanted to say thank you to everyone here for your ongoing passion for Airtable, it means more than we could say.
If you are new to the Airtable Community, please use this space as an opportunity to introduce yourself. We can't wait to get to know you and welcome you to the community. If you ever have any questions as you get started please don't hesitate to send me a message.
A bit about me: Iโm a Seattle native, and in true PNW fashion, am an avid hiker, forever Seattle Sonics fan, and travel enthusiast to escape the rain. Iโm also a lover of live music, fitness, art museums, and reading (send all the book recommendations my way!) I've been at Airtable for about a year and a half now and not only have I been incredibly impressed with the product, but even more so with all of you! I am confident when I say that the community at Airtable is just getting started and I'm so thankful to be on this journey with each of you. ๐
YAY!
Jordan/All,
I'm new to Airtable and exploring ways that I can use it at work to bring data together from different applications. I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills in Northern California, where I can be found playing guitar, boardgames, role playing games, or hiking. I'm also the president of the board of a local, environmental nonprofit.
Book recommendation: Jorge Borges: Collected Fiction - an amazing collection of short stories that will burn a hole in your bookshelf.
After a career in tech I've now been working in the nonprofit world for several years. Coming across an application like Airtable has fired up my latent interest in automation. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this community.

So glad you're here @Lang_CP - I bet you have some amazing hiking near you ๐
I love to hear that Airtable has been impactful for you so far and please let us know if you need any help along the way!
Hi everyone!๐
I fell in love with the features of Airtable since my friend introduced me to it a month ago. I have not stopped learning and enjoying daily since!
I am Soly and live in Bordeaux, France and help non-profit organizations for west african countries to support agriculture/permaculture initiatives in arid areas. The exchange of information/data between the farmers and our team has been challenging these past years and I have been searching for ways to improve our workflow and data gathering to respond efficiently.
Having no programming background, with limited budget, I binged on Airtable videos, tutorials and read the Help section, tried to help others through the forum daily. I am absolutely excited that no coding is required (except for optional scripts)to improve our workflow and help our operations. I am already slowly but confidently building our databases and interfaces for an experimental farm.
For everyone new like me : A big Welcome ! Airtable may be the biggest disruptive technology in coding and data management in history, so hang on, learn and give it your best! The sky is the limit ๐คฉCourage ! ๐ช
Love this @Soly !! Thank you for the work that you do professionally and everything you do for the community - so inspiring! Can't wait to connect more ๐
Hi everyone! ๐
My name is Chris Shernaman and I just wanted to introduce myself as I recently joined the Airtable Community team as the new Community Engagement Specialist. You'll likely start to see my name as I start to comment on your posts and offer help that may be needed!
A little bit about my background: I have spent my career so far working on community strategy, operations, and engagement programs. My true passion is connecting people, processes, and technology together to build authentic and empowered communities.
With that, I am absolutely thrilled to be joining @Jordan_Scott1 and many of our Airtable associates who are diligently working to provide you all with the best community experience.
On a personal note: My wife and I have a 1 year old daughter that likes to keep us on our toes, so I welcome any and all parenting advice ๐! We enjoy our sunny San Diego weekends visiting the zoo, the aquarium, and going to the beach. I am happy to be a member of the Airtable Community and I look forward to connecting with you all!
Thank you for introducing yourself, @ChrisShernaman. I look forward to seeing what you do with the community.
Can you provide insight into the community forum being turned into a blog? The old forum provided a lot of peer-based technical support, and forum software supported that aspect very well. The "meat" of a thread was in the discussion itself, versus the initial post. The blog format makes it harder to provide that peer-based technical support. Does this indicate that peer-based technical support is no longer a focus for Airtable? Is Airtable looking for a different type of user-generated content?
Was trying to give @kuovonne's reply a Kudo but apparently that isn't possible anymore? Or, poking around a bit, maybe it's only possible in certain categories? Anyways, since there isn't another way to express agreement with that reply, here's one:
+1!
Hi @kuovonne,
The Airtable Community will continue to focus on fostering peer-based technical support and user-generated content, while providing Airtable associate technical support. The new community platform offers a variety of different ways for our members to participate through discussion forums, blogs, user groups, events, and co-ideation.
You can dive into discussions with other members to ask questions, provide answers, and share platform experience. The community team will share new community programs and Airtable product updates through the announcement board. You can join community groups and upcoming events based on your areas of interest. There is also a board in the community where you can share your product ideas.
Also, we are working on a tips & tricks series to further help members get started and to help navigate the new platform experience.
@Nathaniel_Grano, thank you for catching that ๐! I was able to enable the kudos in this area of the Community. ๐
Thank you both for being valuable members of the community and we appreciate your patience as we continue to improve the Airtable Community.
Hi @Jordan_Scott1 / community!
I'm a civic tech consultant based out of Cape Town, South Africa. My career has mostly been centered around product management of some degree or another, with focus on products/orgs/teams that are actively working to drive change.
I work with non-profits frequently and bring my previous Zoho Creator experience to Airtables. While I am a very new Airtable user, I cannot believe it's taken me this long to dive in. I'm so excited for the functionality and value I can bring to my clients through this platform and its integrations.
A massive shout of appreciation for all the posts, discussions and documentation that has already brought me this far.
I just wanted to let you know that Airtable was listed as one of my Top Productivity Tools for 2023. You can see the article here:

Thanks for making such a great tool!
My name is Tom and I am new to Airtable.
I work for a small company that teaches people in the US how to travel for almost nothing, and so I travel a lot. I am an avid fisherman, and have fished all over the United States and in several other countries. I am a video and audio production specialist and also write software and implement the company's automation strategies.
Looking forward to learning and using Airtable.

Hi,
Frode, from Norway.
I am new to airtable (and softr). Developed my first ecommerce and cms in 1998, and have also build a complete commercial CRM software solution in PHP laravel (with a team) - trying to learn the ins and outs of no code, challenging myself to re-create the crm-plattform to learn the possibilities and limitations.
Spent 3-4 hours to create something that took my team weeks to do. So far very cool.
I am probably going to spend multiple hours and nights learning - and maybe create a side gig at some point. Point me in the directions of where to put all the stupid questions ๐
Excited to be here and learn.
I am an all-in kind of guy and this seems like an all-in kind of thing to try.

Hello everyone!
I've worked in research operations for over 11 years now, and am currently a research operations manager for a software development company.
I made the switch from spreadsheets and little data cells to Airtable and have been loving it. I started signing up to all of the webinars, learning how to make bases and automations and interfaces, and everything all at once; it was very exciting! I now have teams in my company reaching out to me for hints and tips about how to start setting up their own bases, or making the jump from spreadsheets.
While I still have a lot to learn, I'm happy with what I've accomplished and look forward to learning from all of you! Many questions, incoming.
May the data trend in your favor!
