I have a "master" table containing Clients, and an interface page that presents selected information as a dashboard launching point for each client.

I have a separate table where clients can input "evidence" of all kinds, and from that I can filter, sort, whatever until I can work with that information however I like.  I have an interface page for this table as well, where I can manually select which client I want to review the evidence for - and that's where I need help.

I want to have a button on the Clients interface page that will take me to the Evidence interface page with data already filtered to match the Client from which the Evidence button was clicked.  I don't know how to grab that information (client name) from the Clients interface and feed it to the Evidence interface filter element before I even land there, as a clearable filter (b/c I might then want to stay in Evidence but move around to a different client without backtracking to the Client interface).

Thanks for any help!

Hey @Doug_Grauel

Love what you described as UX on interfaces, and actually, this is a nice feature to be requested, switching interfaces for the same record with a button.

You can create a formula field that will display the interface's URL and the Client's record id at the end. Then you can add a button on your interfaces where you have to select the option "go to URL in record". On this setting select the formula you just created.

If this is not clear please feel free to schedule a 30-minute call with no commitment to build it live. here is my calendar link:

Thanks Dimitris - I was able to create a formula with the client record ID, but the problem is that adding that to the end of the interface URL takes me to a "page not found" error.  I tried a few things like adding "/" or "?" and some stuff with no luck (unsurprising).

Then I looked at the URL for the Evidence Interface manually filtered on a specific client, but that client's record ID characters do not appear anywhere in the filtered URL.  I can't tell from the filtered Evidence Interface URL what AT is using to generate that filtered interface result, even though I see that the URL is consistent when I open it from different tabs, filtering each time (i.e. not just duplicating the tab).
