I need to add a static logo image to several output documents. The block editor has the instruction:

“Image URL
Try typing { Field Name } to generate URLs using content from your base.”

But nothing I do displays the image.

OK, I finally found a solution - maybe not the best but it works:
First, paste the graphic into a record in a table within your base.
From the grid view copy (Ctrl-C) the graphic.
In the page designer open a static graphic object
Paste the image in the URL field.
What you pasted should look like this:
Image.jpg(http…/.attachments/…/image.jpg)
Delete the parentheses and everything outside of them
What is left is the valid URL for the image, which should now appear on your page.

I created a free googles sites website, uploaded my graphic, and grabbed the image URL to paste in the URL field of the block designer.

Worked for me, thanks!

can you keep that site private?

It looks like you can manage “Who can view my file” - but I don’t know if it makes a difference for the photo URL. If you’re only using it to host a photo or image, and as long as you don’t advertise the Google Sites URL, you really don’t have anything to worry about.
