I have a view that displays some calculated values on a given order. The problem I have is that some of the calculated data is dependent on information that is outside the scope of the table. For example, one of the columns gives an estimated commission for an order. The commission, however, is dependent on each individual sales representative.
What I would like is the ability to have an end-user using a view be able to fill in some “variables” that would control the calculated values in the field. Using the above example, a sales representative can enter their sales commission percentage value (unique to each person) and then have the view automatically updated the records using that value.
In a typical spreadsheet application, I would just have a separate set of cells where the user could specify these variable values and then the sheet would automatically update as they changed.
Is this possible within AirTable?
