Hello Community,

We send forms written in French to our clients. If the client's automatic translator is activated on French, our form is still translated in French by google and introduces French mistakes. It seems that Airtable forms are automatically processed by translator as English instead of French. Is there a way to fix this?

No, you would need to use JotForm for your forms:

How to Make Your Forms Multilingual

Translate Forms into 130+ Languages

JotForm has native Airtabke integration, but if that’s not powerful enough, you can use Make to process your form data into Airtable. I give some tips on navigating Make here.

Airtable supports language tags in form fields, which can help improve translation accuracy. When creating your form, you can add language tags to the form fields to indicate that the content should be treated as French. For example, you can use HTML language tags such as <span lang="fr">...</span> around the French text to explicitly specify the language. If the automatic translation is still not working correctly, you can try using alternative translation services that provide more accurate translations for French. Instead of relying solely on Google Translate, you can explore other translation APIs or services that offer better French language support. Some popular alternatives include Microsoft Translator API, DeepL, or SYSTRAN.io. Another option is to reach out to subtitling companies that specialize in translation services. These companies have expertise in accurately translating content and can ensure your forms are properly translated into French without introducing errors. They can work with you to translate your forms effectively and make sure they are suitable for your clients.
