Hi there,

I am discovering Airtable…
I have a table (table1) with some fields that are specific for a team and I need to have the same table (table2) for another team but with only some of the fields from the table1 (Fields that would update automatically when modified in table1). In table2 i will add some other fields that are needed for the other team.
I just don’t know how to do this…

Hi @Laura_DAVY

This sounds like a job for a View rather than another table. These are created here:

Hope this helps?

Hi @Julian_Kirkness !
Thanks for your answer. I tried, but when I delete some field in my table2 (that won’t be useful for the team using table1), i found out that it deletes the fields in table1 too…

Hi @Laura_DAVY

Rather than Deleting fields (which will disappear from both views) you simply need to Hide them from the relevant view.

Julian

Yeah, this is a problem and hiding is often a perfect solution unless the content in the deleted fields must be completely concealed from the other team.
