Overview of persmissions

Now that it is possible to specify permissions per table and field, it is desirable for an administrator to be able to generate an overview in a matrix.

Is this possible?

That’s a great idea, but unfortunately it is not possible to generate a such a matrix at this time.

Like @kuovonne said, there is no way to do this within Airtable itself.

The only way that you could get a matrix overview of permissions is if you decided to have your users access your system through an external user interface like Stacker, instead of letting your users access your system using the built-in Airtable user interface.

I mean, they could still access the system through either method (Airtable or Stacker), but if you wanted to keep strict controls in place, you would only want them to have access through Stacker.

Stacker offers table permissions, view permissions, field permissions, and even record permissions — where you can limit users to seeing only the records that you want them to see.

Thank you very much for the recommended solution, but this is too expensive for a small non-profit organization like ours.
