I've been searching airtable forums off and on and yet I can't find a solution that clearly explains what I need to do to achieve my desired results.

With the search extension, I have configured the extention to search all tables and sometimes it works fine and other times I get a spinning ball where the search never seems to conclude and fails to reverting anything, even when I search on a known preexisting record.

I have tried closing and reopening my browser, closing and reopening airtable, opening airtable in a different browser. Sometimes it starts working again and sometimes nothing I do works until seemingly randomly it starts working again.

Any solutions, Work arounds?

PS: I have roughly 11,000 records, working via Mac OS and I truly need the global search feature to work (and suspect I might not be the only one experiencing this issue).

Hi Lynda, it's probably a bug in the extension. You could try pressing F12 (on chrome) to see if there are any meaningful error messages that might help resolve the issue.

Otherwise perhaps there is another extension that might do the job. A last resort would be to create a custom extension.

(by me, as a really last resort! I have a published extension called Forms)

Thanks Steve, that sent me in a fruitful direction, F12 or rather Option + ⌘ + I in Mac gave me a list of possibles several of which were something to the effect of:

POST https://airtable.com/.csp/report net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

I hit debug and then it started working again.!

PS:  Will check out forms!
