This base of sample scripts is very old. Many of the community scripts were created in response to a series of Scripting contests that Airtable held when Scripting was first publicly released. Scripting has also gained several features that did not exist when these scripts were written, so these scripts do not leverage those features.
I doubt that this base will be updated. Instead, Airtable is suggesting that people submit scripts to the Marketplace. The scripts are listed below all of the apps. Anyone is free to submit a script for consideration to be included in the Marketplace.
However, few script writers have submitted scripts to the Marketplace simply because there is little incentive to do so. Script writers receive no compensation for publishing scripts in the Marketplace, yet still receive support requests for their scripts.
