Filter date fields by "past" and "future"

Suggestion: Allow filtering on date fields “occurred in the past” or “occurs in the future” - to allow view of overdue or pending things without creating some other field.

Can’t you already do that? Set your filters to be “date is before today” for past and “date is after today” for future.
