When sorting text written in Swedish I get the following order:
Ägg Bacon Ketchup
The correct sort order, in Swedish, is to sort A-Z and then Å, Ä, Ö.
Googling this issue returns no relevant results, so I am assuming this is something you need to implement.
So my feature request would be internationalization for fields when it comes to sorting.
Same problem occurs on the API even when using a view and sort options
ÄGG comes before AMBER
