How does is solve the user problems?

At the moment, Page Designer cannot successfully or easily do the following:

- Attach a generated letter to the AirTable record

- Allow for multiple pages in a letter

- Built-in creation for company headers and footers--be able to input Corporate logo.

- Template creation -- being able to create a letter that has a ready place for an address line, sent date, etc.

How was this validated?

Who is the target audience?

I have a very detailed record Page Designer app, and am disappointed that to have it formatted to simply display text and in more a modular layout, that I had to create a linked field table with lookups specifically for use in Page Designer.

Page Designer is in dire need of development.

"be able to input Corporate logo"

I use the "image URL" from the company website if that can help you.

Please invest some dev time into this plugin!!

Most pressing request for my use case is to export the pdf to a record.

As it currently stands, I need to "print" the page, save as a pdf on my computer, then upload to the field I need as an attachment, this should absolutely be more efficient

I'm currently using page designer with interfaces and this has some serious potential!

I'd like to see the following additional option for Line Item Numbers to be displayed in a Table View.

Note how the List Style has the option for numbering. Similarly, I'm needing this in the Table View, where numbers appear as the first column. The only workaround I have is to create a Number Field that holds the line item value within each record itself - which is ugly and a pain IMHO.

I'm working on a new alternative page designer app for Airtable.

Some features I have planned:

  • Print multi-page records
  • Export the PDF to a record
  • Better support for linked records

If you'd like to become an early adopter, and get a 25% lifetime discount, sign up here.

P.S. I want to have video calls with early adopters to make sure this app solves their problems, so schedule a call here.

I agree with the multiple page - this is major

- I would also like to format the table nicer, currently it's not possible to align the numbers right and the rest left.

company Logo; I use seeklogo.com, works very well

We'd love to see the elements in page designer be dynamic.  Right now you only have the space you originally allocate to an element, but if one of your elements is a linked field, and the number of linked records is more than anticipated, then information gets cut off.  Information in general tends to get cut off if more information than anticipated gets added and we have enough variance that it looks weird if we make the space way too big.

I also second the request to be able to print to a PDF that can save to a field.  Our ideal scenario is being able to not only print to an attachment field but to be able to 1) kick this off from an automation and 2) be able to have any number of outputs be compiled into a single document.  3rd party vendors can do this but it's an added cost, an additional piece of software to add users to and manage, and another link in the chain of software that has access to your data making it feel less secure than if we could simply do everything natively within Airtable itself.  Additionally, having to have a user be able to get to the base level to get to extensions when that's the only reason they need base access is less secure than being able to trigger this via an automation on a scheduled basis which would also save that additional user time.
